My name is Bev Cox and I'm a qualified counsellor and a member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy).
I work in a respectful, confidential and professional manner which allows you to explore areas of personal difficulty without being judged or being told what to do, so providing you with a safe and confidential space to talk.
At the heart of the counselling process is the creation of a special relationship which has the potential to be healing and life-affirming. My role in that relationship is to aid your exploration of the issues you wish to focus on.
The professional qualification I hold is an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling. I favour a Person-Centred approach which means that you, the client, take the lead in sessions so that you may come to discover your own solutions. I act as a facilitator, or fellow traveller, listening without judgment while helping to shine a light on areas which may be in shadow; I am there to encourage and support you in a process of self-discovery, which may involve challenging you to view things from different angles.
Sessions are held in my garden studio in Argoed, Blackwood and I can offer appointments at a range of times to suit individual needs.
